Each cut and color begins with a consultation about the client's hair, daily routine and goals. Prices listed on the site are starting points and can vary with hair length, density and service time. Haircuts start at $170, blowdries at $100 and up-styles at $125, while in-home services, weddings and special occasions, and extensions are priced after consultation.

Color work covers base color, highlights, balayage, glosses and combinations with base color. Signature looks include sun-kissed highlights, lived-in balayage, blended brunettes, golden blondes, bleach-and-tones and fashion vivids. Base color starts at $150, highlights and balayage start at $325 or $400 with base color, and glosses start at $85 without a blowdry or $185 with one. New color clients receive a price after consultation.

Treatments include Malibu, a detoxifying treatment for mineral and product buildup, Milbon and Milbon Gold deep conditioning, Keratin Complex Express, Keratin Complex, and Puraluxe smoothing. Treatments do not include a blowdry, which adds $100. Extensions are offered by hand-tied, individual keratin-tip and tape-in methods, with clip-in and halo options for temporary wear and in-home extension services.

Booking is online through Boulevard, or by calling 650.948.4519 or emailing info@pursuitsalon.com. Changes and cancellations need at least 48 hours notice. Later cancellations are charged 50% of the service, and cancellations under 24 hours or no-shows are charged the full amount. If a client is unhappy with a result, the same stylist or colorist will redo it at no charge within 14 days. Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 9pm Tuesday through Thursday, and closed Sunday. Limited underground parking is available behind the building.

Looks are personalized to each client's hair, face and lifestyle, starting from a consultation about hair, routine and goals.
