Pure Concepts opened in November 2008 and now operates two salons, one in Plainfield and one in Carmel. Owner and founder Jackie Burns started the business, and the two locations offer the same range of hair services with some differences in pricing.

The salon describes its aim as structure, advanced education and consistently relaxing services in a comfortable, fun setting. Stylists take part in ongoing workshops on trends and techniques for cutting, styling and coloring, and the business says it provides training so staff can keep developing.

A visit starts with a consultation. Every hair service includes a shampoo and conditioning and a scalp massage with hot towels. Before booking, guests can complete an online form describing their hair goals and history, and the team then gets in touch to schedule. The booking form also lets guests ask for a stylist level, whether Studio, Junior, Senior or Master, or no preference. Haircuts are not included with texturizing services.

Listed prices are starting points. They can rise with hair length and texture and with the stylist's category, and the stylist gives the specific price. Color correction and extensions are priced after a consultation.
