About

Pristine Aesthetics is a medical aesthetics and clinical skincare studio in Arvada, Colorado. Pristine Aesthetics LLC operates it, and Debbie Bowman founded it and owns it. Visits are by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the studio is closed on weekends. The menu covers corrective facials, resurfacing and reversal work for damaged skin, medical peels, age-management care, facials for teens, body wraps and hydration facials.

Newcomers can start with a free in-office professional skin consultation, where a professional skin scanner is used to look at the likely cause of a skin concern. Clients who cannot come in can book a 30-minute virtual consultation for $75, which is handled through a questionnaire and a video meeting. Virtual skin coaching is also available for $75 and includes a skin analysis, a review of current products, a customized at-home routine and a written summary, with a follow-up consultation about 30 days later. The HydraFacial is described by the business as a four-step process that cleanses, extracts, exfoliates and hydrates, with no downtime. The studio's HydraFacial menu runs from the Signature version, with an optional dermaplane, through the HydraFacial MD range, which includes Clarifying, Age-Refinement, Radiance, Restorative and Platinum versions. The Platinum version includes lymphatic drainage, a booster of choice and LED light therapy, and the Deluxe version includes a booster of choice and LED light therapy. The business states that a series of four treatments, once a week to begin, is recommended for best results, followed by monthly maintenance. PERK eye and lip treatments can be added to any facial for $50 each and take under ten minutes, with take-home serum for about 30 days.

Exfoliation and peels come in several forms. Diamond microdermabrasion is offered as a six-pass mini session or a twelve-pass full session. Dermaplaning uses a blade to remove the outer layers of skin along with fine hair. Combination exfoliation pairs either microdermabrasion or dermaplaning with a chemical exfoliant. Corrective acid peels include glycolic, salicylic, an alpha-beta blend, and the Jessner peel, which combines 14 percent salicylic acid with 14 percent lactic acid. Each corrective peel takes about 30 minutes. TCA peels come in 15, 25 and 50 percent strengths and typically involve around a week of downtime. One-time performance peels include the VI Peel, The Perfect Derma Peel, the Obagi Blue Radiance Acid Treatment, which is suggested as three sessions spaced two weeks apart, and the Obagi Blue Peel, which can be layered one to four times. According to the salon, The Perfect Derma Peel is the only peel that contains glutathione. Microneedling with collagen induction therapy is also available, and the salon describes it as one of the best options for a quick recovery when treating acne scars and skin texture. Packages and payment have set rules. Single treatments must be used within three months of purchase, and packages of six must be used within eight months. Buy 3 Get 3 Free packages are offered. The Ultimate Alternating Treatment Pack includes six treatments for $750, rotating among options the salon chooses each month. Prepaid products and services are non-refundable, and packages must be completed. Cancellations need 12 hours' notice. A credit card is required to book, and a $75 no-show fee may apply. Clients should stop retinol, Retin-A and topical acne creams for two to four days before an acid or peel. Results are not guaranteed, since skin responds differently to each treatment. Peels may cause peeling, redness or temporary post-inflammatory pigmentation, and the studio recommends a product routine afterward for better outcomes. VIP members receive 25 percent off listed product prices.

Treatments are built around the skin's current needs, and a suggested product regimen is offered to support results. The business describes its own products as research-backed, clinical-grade formulations.
