Princess Hair Pizzazz Stockbridge

Princess Hair Pizzazz was founded by husband and wife Juanda and Leighton Roberts as a salon for kids. They started it after looking for a children's salon that would meet their family's needs.

Every service is full-service and includes a wash, conditioning and beads. Services before noon are by appointment only, while walk-ins are welcome later in the day, and clients can call ahead to check availability. If a preferred time is taken, they can join a waitlist and receive a text when a matching opening appears. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours ahead carry a fee equal to the booking deposit, and cancellations can be made online.

The salon mainly serves girls aged 19 and under and also serves some adults. Boys are welcome, and grey towels are used for them instead of pink. Children as young as 2 are recommended, and children with tender scalps are served as long as they can stay fairly still during braiding. Parents can ask the stylist not to photograph their child for social media at the end of a visit.

The salon describes itself as a luxury kids' salon and says its space is girly and welcoming. It says it aims to make each young client feel like royalty, provide a safe environment and use quality products on children's hair, and it wants girls, including Black girls, to feel celebrated there. It also runs community partnerships with schools, recreation centers and local businesses, which include annual donations to partner schools and free community meeting space.
