Booking has a few steps. New clients complete a free 15-minute phone consultation on a weekday, and it must be completed in the same week the appointment is booked rather than the week of the appointment. Most services need a non-refundable deposit and completed booking forms beforehand. Clients who want a closer look can request a Luxury In-Home Consultation for $50, lasting about 45 minutes, which covers style goals, hair condition, braid method, color and texture matching, hair amount, upkeep and a personalized plan. The fee is credited toward the service if booked within 30 days and is otherwise non-refundable, and a travel fee based on the client's location applies. Hair is not part of that visit unless stated.

Appointments run long, and the salon lists the times plainly. Installs range from about 3 hours for a takedown to more than 9 hours for the longest boho and 100% human hair styles. The VIP Lounge option is a 7 hour 30 minute appointment for $200, and the salon describes its amenities as luxurious.

Before a visit, clients are asked to come in with hair washed that day, blown completely dry and brushed out, with no heavy oils, grease or waxes in it; light styling products are fine. Services for children cover ages 9 to 17. If a young client is especially sensitive about having their head handled, the appointment may need to be put on hold or moved to another day.

The salon puts healthy hair first and says braids should not come at the expense of a client's natural hair.
