Pretty Little Locks Studio, LLC is a Sisterlocks studio based in Forney, Texas. It accepts bookings for new client consultations and for transfer client consultations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Sisterlocks is a trademarked locking system founded in 1993 by Dr. JoAnne Cornwell. According to the company, its trained practitioners and Certified Training Associates work in more than 40 other states and 30 countries.

The Sisterlocks process is offered as a three-visit package. The consultation takes about an hour. Establishment is the initial locking session, lasting several hours over a few days with the time varying by client, and most clients have an average of 450 locks established. The first retightening is usually scheduled within a month of establishment, after at least two shampoos. Ongoing retightening follows every four to six weeks, and appointments usually take a few hours when kept on schedule.

Before the consultation, hair should be clean, free of oils and conditioners, and without braids or extensions. Clients are asked to keep retightening appointments, follow the aftercare instructions and use the recommended Sisterlocks products. Long gaps between retightenings lengthen future sessions and can compromise the locks.

The studio works within the Sisterlocks system, using recommended products and a regular retightening schedule to keep locks in good condition over time.
