A new cosmetic appointment generally takes two to three hours, and touch-ups take between 30 minutes and an hour. Clients are advised to plan a perfection touch-up four to six weeks after the procedure, and hand tattoos may need two or three sessions to build pigment. A $50 consultation is credited toward a service if the client books, and a $100 shop minimum deposit holds the appointment and is deducted from the total. Before appointments, clients are asked to avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and spray tans for 10 days, to skip alcohol and limit caffeine, and to have brows threaded, waxed or tinted at least four days ahead. Tattooing is not done for clients who are pregnant or nursing, though aesthetic services are available to them. Brow work needs upkeep about once a year, and the studio suggests switching methods every two to three years. Microblading generally fades sooner than machine-tattooed brows. Cosmetic tattoo removal can take five to ten sessions and may not always be fully effective.
The studio also offers fundamental training in cosmetic and fine line tattooing for artists in Columbus, from beginners to established artists. No portfolio, art school or prior experience is required for fine line and tiny tattoo training. Training begins with practice skins sent in from home and moves to one-on-one work in person once the student is ready to work on models, and a training kit is provided once the deposit is secured. Courses are offered individually in fine line and tiny tattooing, nano brows, ombre brows, lash line eyeliner, lip blushing and tattooed freckles, and the studio says it will guide trainees toward certification.
