Preservation Spa was formerly known as Blinks & Brushes and now operates as a salon and spa in Florissant, Missouri, which the business describes as part of St. Louis. The menu covers lashes, brows, facials, waxing, makeup, hair, nails, feet and body treatments, and the salon serves both women and men.

About

Lash extensions are a major part of the menu. Classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume sets are offered, with hybrid priced from $125 to $150, volume from $150 to $175 and mega volume from $175 to $190, depending on whether a junior or master tech does the work. Each extension service begins with a consultation to check the health of the client's natural lashes and to choose a look that suits their needs and lifestyle. Extensions can stay in place through swimming, tanning, workouts, saunas and hot tubs, and clients are advised to skip mascara. Refills run $55 to $90 and damage-free removal is $25.

Beyond lashes, brow services range from a simple cleanup to shaping with color, lamination and tint, along with ombre powder brows, a semi-permanent treatment that places tiny pigment dots into the skin with a digital machine to create a shaded, fuller brow. Facials include a basic facial using Fab Essentials products, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, a HydraFacial, and facials for men, children and expectant clients. The salon describes its facial and body products as all natural and says its skin care products are the best in St. Louis. Waxing covers the face, underarms, bikini, Brazilian, chest and legs, with waxing below the waist offered to women only. Hair services include take-down braids, retwists, wash and retwist, and rope twist styles, and the salon also lists haircuts, color, locs and natural hair styling. Body treatments include lipo cavitation by area and a BBL listing.

Bookings are by appointment only, made by calling or texting the salon. Afterpay is accepted for services, products and courses, and gift cards are available. A $1 Square card fee and a $5 Cash App service fee apply. Makeup at locations within 15 miles carries a $75 travel fee. Prom, homecoming and graduation makeup is $60, with special pricing for high school students who show a school ID.

Training is offered in several forms: an eyelash extension class with kit for $250 covering classic application, a two-day class in classic and volume extensions with kit for $400, a two-day nail bootcamp and a three-week intensive nail program, and an apprenticeship for people who want to become licensed. A goat's wax class is $300 with a $150 non-refundable deposit. A two-hour one-on-one makeup lesson costs $200, which the salon describes as a premier St. Louis class.
