Practise treats healthy skin as an ongoing process that depends on daily habits and how a person relates to their skincare routine. Every visit begins with a consultation and skin analysis, so the treatment can be tailored to the skin on that day, and a customized plan and follow-up come after.

The studio was founded in New York in 2021 by Kristyn Smith, an esthetician and educator with a long career in California and New York spas and practices. The team is made up of several estheticians, each with a separate focus, and the menu reflects that range.

The signature facials are offered at 60, 75 and 90 minutes. The shorter version suits maintenance or one main concern, the middle version allows more time for extractions, masks or extended massage, and the 90-minute facial is the most thorough, covering cleansing, extractions, masking, massage, hydration and protection. For persistent breakouts, inflammation or congested skin, the Acne + Inflamed Skin Recovery Facial is a corrective, no-massage option, and the site notes that several treatments are usually recommended. Acne facials may include LED, high-frequency, professional-grade peels and masks suited to the client's skin.

Microcurrent is a specialty here. The studio uses the CACI classic machine for targeted muscle stimulation, and it recommends a series of six sessions followed by monthly maintenance. Kiana Cruz-Hart offers Microcurrent Facial Sculpting with the same CACI technology, aimed at toning and defining the facial muscles with no downtime. Other add-ons include the Environ Ionzyme DF Machine, Environ Cool Peel, dermaplaning, an exosome serum and LED light therapy in 10, 20 or 30-minute sessions.

New clients must book from the Intro Services menu. Jolie De Feis accepts new clients on a limited basis by referral only, and Kristyn Smith is not taking new bookings, so existing clients of hers are asked to write to the studio. Clients who cannot find a slot can join a waitlist for several dates and times and will be notified automatically if something opens up.
