Kristyn Smith

Kristyn Smith founded Practise in New York in 2021, and she works there as an esthetician, educator and founder. Her professional work began in Southern California in the early 2000s, and she has been a licensed esthetician since 2003. Her training took place at CosmetiCare and with Cindy Alcott at Skin Therapy. She went on to practise in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Malibu and Calabasas. In Southern California she worked alongside dermatologists and plastic surgeons, including Dr. Malcolm Paul, Dr. Raffi Hovsepian, Dr. Paul Lin and Dr. Kackenmeister. She also built spa programming with Clé de Peau Beauté in California and worked at the St. Regis Hotel Spa in San Francisco. A move to New York City in 2012 brought work in SoHo and the West Village. Later she managed the spa at the Space NK flagship store, handling treatments and brand partnerships. Her background covers medical aesthetics, laser therapies and pre- and post-operative skincare. Today she consults for brands and works with clients directly. She has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Forbes, InStyle, Business Insider and Bustle, and is a nationally recognized esthetician.
