About

With no front desk, all visits are arranged in advance, and appointments are usually booked at least eight weeks out. Requests can be made by phone or text at (619) 630-5365, or by email at service@pomegranatedayspa.com.

Massage sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes, priced at $135, $165 and $195. Sessions can include hot and cold sensory tools, aromatherapy, and a choice of oils and lotions. The spa describes massage as a therapy for pain relief and relaxation. The bodyworkers are trained in deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular work, Thai massage, sports manipulations, structural integration, prenatal massage, tui na and shiatsu. Each massage comes with fresh linens, plush robes, purified water and background music.

Facials run 60 or 90 minutes, at $135 and $165. Depending on the client, a facial can include microdermabrasion, sonic cleansing, microcurrent lifting and chemical peels, the last used when indicated. Exfoliation and extractions are performed with care, and anti-aging treatments are offered. The spa says there is no extra charge for adding instruments or products to a facial, and it is selective about the products it uses.

Body treatments add to a massage or facial. A body steam ($60) uses herbs, oils and clays prepared for each guest, with herb choices aimed at muscle and joint soreness, detoxification or relaxation. A scrub costs $25, and a scrub and mask costs $40. The scrub uses warm salt or sugar, followed by coconut oil, and the mask is customized with clay. A Thai compress ($35) includes compresses the client takes home. Body bronzing ($60) is a foam bronzer applied with a large soft brush and lasts about five days.

According to the spa, its treatments are meant to work well and feel indulgent, and are tailored to each client. The team together has about two decades of hands-on work with body and skin care. The spa also publishes an FAQ page covering common questions.

Treatments are customized to each body and built around a complete sensory, holistic experience, according to the spa.

Treatment rooms are set up with fresh linens, plush robes and a soothing soundtrack.
