Polished Hair and Nails

Polished Hair and Nails has been serving clients in Dublin since 1993 and sits in the Bridge Street District. Co-owners Stacey Dysert and Amy Gossard run the salon, which brings together hair and nail services under one roof.

Hair services cover men's and kids' cuts, women's cuts and styling, color, and the GK Taming Treatment, a Global Keratin smoothing service. Color options range from highlighting and all-over color to ombre, balayage and vivid shades.

Nail services include manicures such as the Express Mani, Spa Manicure and gel polish, pedicures in Spa or Express versions, and nail enhancements in sculptured gel, acrylic, dipping and removal. Polish comes from OPI and Creative, with OPI Gel Polish also offered. Pedicures and consultations need to be booked by phone; most other services can be booked online.

Most stylists and technicians work as independent contractors, and the salon says it wants its team to have room to build lasting relationships with clients. Booths are available for rent. The salon is open Monday through Saturday, is closed for most holidays, and may open on Sundays for special occasions with owner approval. Gift certificates can be bought in store or through Square online, in amounts of $10, $20, $25 and $50 or a custom value.

The salon places particular attention on sanitation, including disinfection procedures during nail enhancement services. Stylists and technicians set their own prices and schedules as independent contractors.

The salon describes an environment where staff have space to get to know their clients over time.
