Tracy Whynot, a licensed acupuncturist, is the owner and principal of PLACE360. The business began as the first integrated lifestyle center in Del Mar and grew into the current health and spa. It describes itself as a place for health, wellness and organic self-enrichment in the seaside village, bringing Chinese medicine, massage and skin care together under one roof.

About

A common starting point is a HealthStyle 360 package, which opens with an initial consultation with a primary practitioner and builds into a personalized program that combines treatments. Guests can also book single sessions, acupuncture series of 4, 6, 10 or 20 sessions, or spa packages such as the 360 Massage Memberships, the Pure Bliss Spa Package and the Mother To Be Time For Me Spa Package.

Acupuncture services include an initial evaluation and treatment for 60 minutes at $150, follow-up treatments of 30 to 45 minutes at $115, electro-acupuncture at $115, facial rejuvenation acupuncture at $150 and 30-minute cupping at $45. Custom Chinese herbal consultations are priced individually. Massage options include Signature Swedish in 30, 60 or 90 minutes, Deep Tissue Therapeutic and Buddha Belly Prenatal in 60 or 90 minutes, Manual Lymphatic Drainage using the Vodder method for upper or lower body, and combined energy healing and massage sessions.

Facials run from $135 to $175 and include the Essential Spa, Fire & Ice, Be Clear Acne, O2Lift and Glow, 4 Layer Facelift, Back and Deluxe Custom options. Facial treatments include dermaplane and microdermabrasion at $130 each, microcurrent sculpt and lift at $140, and chemical peels at $110. Add-ons such as LED light therapy, lip and eye treatment, enzyme peel and microcurrent can be added to appointments. Jet Plasma starts at $400 for 60 minutes; the business describes it as a newly FDA-approved, non-surgical device treatment.

Waxing and tinting cover ear, nose, chin, lip, brow and face waxing from $10 to $55, along with brow, lash and combined brow and lash tinting. Reiki sessions are $125 for 60 minutes, and a four-session Reiki package is $400.

Guests are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early, since late arrivals do not guarantee a full treatment and the full price still applies. A credit card reserves an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged 50 percent and no-shows are charged in full. Guests may request a male or female therapist, and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Free parking is available in front of the business, and a public city lot is a short walk away off 11th Street.

Services combine Chinese medicine, massage and skin care into personalized plans, most often starting from an initial consultation and built into a program of combined treatments.

Guests can settle into a relaxation suite before treatments, with tea or infused spa water offered.
