Tracy Whynot, MS, L.Ac

Tracy Whynot owns and leads PLACE360 Health + Spa in Del Mar, California, and is a licensed, board-certified acupuncturist. Her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine came from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.

Earlier positions include staff acupuncturist in oncology at Longmont Hospital in Colorado and Lead Acupuncturist at Casa Palmera, a treatment center in Del Mar. She has also worked at Canyon Ranch Health and Fitness Spa, Miraval Life in Balance in Tucson, Arizona, and Cal a Vie in San Diego.

Her training extends abroad. At Chengdu Traditional Medicine Hospital in Chengdu, China, she completed rounds in gynecology, dermatology, diabetes and Chinese medical massage. The business describes that hospital as one of the earliest established and highly rated teaching facilities in China. She also studied Thai massage at the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, massage therapy at Desert Institute of Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona, and skin care at Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics in Boston, Massachusetts.

She founded the first integrated lifestyle center in Del Mar, which grew into PLACE360. Her specialties are pain and stress management, oncology, dermatology, women's health and digestive disorders. Her treatments include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Tui Na medical massage, therapeutic massage, cupping, ear acupuncture, electro-stimulation, acupuncture facial rejuvenation and moxibustion.

She has travelled widely to research approaches to health and wellness, and she sits on the editorial advisory board for DaySpa Magazine.
