Pigtails & Crewcuts describes itself as more than a haircut, aiming to make each visit an experience. The salon's stated view is that a haircut should be fun and memorable for children, and the setting is built around that idea, with vehicle-themed styling chairs, whimsical paintings, a wooden train table, and a treasure chest that children can visit after their cut. Treats are offered during haircuts, and some clients can watch a movie while they sit in the chair. Parents can relax while their children are cut, and children are welcomed whether they arrive smiling or crying.
