The salon describes its approach as caring for hair health, welcoming textured and natural hair in its natural movement, and taking a deliberate look at each person's hair before any service begins. Many services are listed with a starting price, and the New Talent menu offers lower prices on treatments, cuts, color, relaxers and extension work.

Training is a central part of the business. Every stylist receives in-house training, and booth renters and commission-based stylists get free one-on-one training. Non-employees can also book one-on-one training. Classes include an I-Tip extensions course covering tools, technique, consultations, tip and bead sizing, blending and maintenance, a Mastering a Natural Sew-in course, and a Perfect Match Coloring course for matching color on natural hair and extensions. Class prices are $350 one-on-one, $250 per person with a stylist, or $200 per person with two stylists, and the sew-in class can be combined with the coloring class for an added $50. Extensions are not included in class prices but can be purchased through PJ Bluwm Extensions at wholesale rates.

The salon's apprenticeship program is approved by the Georgia Department of Labor's Division of Apprenticeship Standards. Apprentices earn a wage while studying to become cosmetologists under a Georgia Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensee in a Board-licensed salon.

For visitors, free parking is on the North Avenue side of the building through the side lot, where a call button is used to enter. Free retail parking is on the bottom level only, and when it is full, two pay lots on each side of the building can be used. Pay lot fees must be settled before leaving the lot to avoid a boot. The salon also sells eGift cards in $25, $50, $100, $150 and $200 amounts.

Focused on healthy hair, with respect for textured and natural hair movement, and a considered assessment before each service is carried out.
