The salon sits at 27 West Central Avenue just east of Sandusky Street, with street parking on Central Avenue and a walk from the Ohio Wesleyan University campus.

The salon is kept small on purpose so there is time for detail and for each client. Appointments are not rushed, and the team gives each client full attention from start to finish. The name Patina refers to beauty that develops over time through craft, patience and relationships.

Booking is handled by each artist individually, and hours vary by stylist. Clients who are unsure what to book can take advantage of a free consultation, which is required before extension services, major color changes and corrective color. Services are offered through the artists and grouped into color, cuts, styling, treatments, extensions and waxing. The space includes a product wall and a lounge area.

Each artist works independently, keeping their own clients, bookings and craft, while the salon stays deliberately small so each appointment gets unhurried attention.
