Medical dermatology is offered to patients from newborns to seniors for conditions such as acne, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, shingles, warts, moles, sun damage and skin cancer, with full-body skin exams for screening. Surgical dermatology covers removal of skin lesions, excisions and procedures for acne scars, and procedures are performed in the clinics. Mohs micrographic surgery is offered for skin cancer; the practice says it offers the highest cure rate available with the smallest scar, and its Mohs surgeons are members of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Cosmetic options include Botox (at Downey and Seal Beach), Kybella, lip and other dermal fillers, Juvederm including Voluma, and Sculptra Aesthetic. Energy-based and laser treatments include V-Beam, CO2, IPL, ExcelV and Thermage, along with laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, tattoo removal and vein treatment. HydraFacial is offered at the Seal Beach office. Most cosmetic treatments may require a consultation first, and same-day treatment may not be available.

Patients can book online, download a new patient form to complete before arriving, and use a patient portal for online access to medical records. Surgery and laser visits must be scheduled by phone. Insurance accepted includes Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, ILWU/Coastwise, Medicare and United Healthcare, though the practice cannot guarantee in-network status for any plan and suggests checking coverage before a visit. Payment plans through Cherry are available, subject to eligibility, with 0% APR options and interest-bearing plans.

Each visit begins with a dermatologist talking through the patient's concerns, symptoms and health goals. Cosmetic care starts with a consultation covering goals and options, leading to a personalized treatment plan.
