On Trend Hair Studio was established in 2021 and is located at 811 Freeport Rd in Cheswick. The salon covers a wide range of hair services, from color and cuts to styling, extensions, treatments and waxing. According to the salon, it is the best hair salon voted by the people.

Color is the largest part of the menu. It includes balayage, foil and highlight work, root touch-ups, all-over color, toner, money pieces, color blocking and creative vivid color. Corrective coloring is priced after a consultation, starting at $100 an hour, and typically takes about four hours. New clients pay a $50 deposit for creative coloring, corrective coloring and full extension installs; the deposit is non-refundable and applied to the total.

Extension work includes aquahair tape-in extensions and beaded machine weft extensions, which can be installed in one, two or three rows. A consultation for extensions is free, and full aquahair installs are priced after that consultation. Bridal clients can book a trial run, a practice style done about a month before the wedding, alongside prom, formal updo and bridal styles.

New clients are asked to keep a card on file to schedule. Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment are charged 50 percent of the service, and no-shows are charged. Gift cards are offered at $100.

Each look is customized to the individual client's wants and needs, with the aim of a more personal, one-on-one visit.
