Object Salon opened in 1989 on Third Street and moved to its current Santa Monica address in 2008. The owner, Hiroshi, opened it after moving to Los Angeles. The salon describes itself as consistently rated one of the top Westside salons, and says many clients and staff have known each other for decades.

About

The salon says it aims for high-quality service and technique from a warm, international team. Its stylists come from Japan, the US and beyond, and it is run with the view that training and education are what keep a salon going over the long term.

Color clients who are new to the salon are encouraged to book a consultation before a color plan is made. Prices listed on the site are starting prices, and the salon says some services such as straight perms are quoted after a consultation. Cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead are charged 50% of the reserved services, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged the full service amount. Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may not receive the full service booked. Clients who book online and need to reschedule should call so the deposit can be refunded.

Lash lifts, lash tints, brow lamination and microblading, including powder brows and lip blush, are also on the menu. New clients get 20% off any lash, lift or microblading service, and referring a friend gives both the referrer and the friend a $10 discount.
