The salon frames beauty as a form of self-expression and calls itself inclusive and gender-neutral by design. Staff ask for pronouns rather than assuming them. Work is divided by specialty: colorists take color appointments, stylists handle cuts, and permanent makeup artists do PMU work. The team confirms the quote with clients before any service starts. Walk-ins are accepted when space allows, and appointments can be made online or by calling (323) 775-3637. Weekday hours run from 9 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday hours are 10 AM to 7 PM. The interior is described as spacious, and the building includes a private garden.

Cancelling or rescheduling requires 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged 50 percent of the booked service. Permanent makeup, bridal packages and color correction need a non-refundable deposit of 20 to 30 percent, which is credited to the final invoice. That deposit can be moved once without charge if the change is requested at least 48 hours ahead. Bridal packages include a paid trial held 4 to 8 weeks before the wedding, and that fee is credited toward the full-day package. For weddings, May through October is the busiest period, and the salon recommends booking 6 to 9 months ahead. Off-peak dates generally need 3 to 4 months' notice. On-location bridal hair in greater Los Angeles carries a $150 travel fee plus time charged per artist.

Permanent makeup clients get a free 15-minute consultation before booking. The PMU stations are ventilated and each permanent makeup client receives single-use disposables. The salon uses HEPA filtration on the salon floor and says it follows California cosmetology sterilization guidelines. For color, the salon says its color and aftercare products lean organic and ammonia-free where chemistry allows, and that its shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free. A patch test is recommended before first-time professional color, after 12 or more months without a color service, or after a previous dye reaction. The lash adhesive is described as medical-grade and low-fume, and the products are stated to be cruelty-free.

MUA Academy trains the salon's own artists and also takes outside students for permanent makeup and bridal or editorial work. Listed courses include microblading, lip blush and glam makeup. Gift cards start at $50, never expire and can be used for any service or product, though they cannot be exchanged for cash; lost cards can be reissued with proof of purchase.

Chairs are organized by specialty, with colorists on color, stylists on cuts and PMU artists on permanent makeup, and the quote is confirmed before work starts.
