Oak & Iron

Oak & Iron opened in 2019 at the Franklin Street location in downtown Buffalo. In 2024 the main location moved to Louisiana Street in the Old First Ward, and the Franklin Street site remains open as a second location.

The salon covers hair transformations, haircuts, coloring, styling, nails, makeup, waxing and brow tinting, microblading and permanent makeup, tooth gems, and lessons in hair and makeup. Nail services include Gel X extensions, naked manicures and pedicures, and creative nail art sessions. Wedding services range from simple packages to full bridal party work, and wedding inquiries go through the form on the website. Clients can book online and choose their own stylist.

The tattoo studio pairs resident artists with rotating guest artists and takes both appointments and walk-ins. Shop minimums are $125 for a tattoo and $150 for work on hands or fingers, and artists discuss final rates at consultation. Cover-ups and reworks are offered at the artist's discretion after a free consultation. Sessions need at least two weeks between them for healing. A $50 deposit is taken for every tattoo and $100 for a full day, applied to the final session. Tattoos can be done in a fully vegan way.
