Nurture Spa was founded by Carolyn Holdsworth, who owns the spa and is an esthetician. Before opening the spa she spent two decades as a senior executive in corporate roles in the United States and Canada, and she previously worked for two major beauty brands. The spa operated in Solebury, Pennsylvania for 12 years before moving in January 2018 into a historic New Hope building dating from the 1850s, which the spa renovated.

Services are customized during each appointment to fit the client's needs. Every massage uses hot stones, warm towels and pure essential oils, and the spa describes its customized massage as award-winning. Facials range from a 30 minute Express Facial to longer treatments that add dermaplaning, LED light therapy, microcurrent, lymphatic drainage or microneedling. Facial packages of 4, 8 or 12 sessions are available for select treatments, along with massage and nail packages.

Visitors have access to locker rooms with spa robes, sandals, lockers, showers, a steam room and hair dryers and toiletries, plus a relaxation lounge on every floor. A refreshment center offers filtered water, hot tea and light snacks. The pedicure area overlooks the treetops of downtown New Hope, and a penthouse terrace is also part of the building. Guests are asked to silence phones and speak softly, and food and alcohol are not permitted inside.

Non-group appointments need 48 hours notice for changes or cancellations, and groups of three or more need 72 hours. Late changes or cancellations are charged the full price of the service. Complimentary valet parking is offered at the Logan Inn across the street, while street parking requires payment at kiosks or through the ParkMobile app. Members of the Silver and Gold memberships receive the same services at the lowest prices, plus member-only perks and discounts. Aesthetic medical treatments are administered by Dr. Armand Simone, and a complimentary consultation with him can be booked by phone.

Services are tailored during each appointment, and the spa uses skincare brands it selects for performance. The founder stocks the retail boutique with products she would use herself.
