The practice states that a person's well-being comes first, and that how someone feels about their appearance shapes how they carry themselves. Treatment is meant to address real needs with care and expertise, and the practice is comfortable letting aging progress gradually. It does not sell services from a menu, and it may advise waiting, doing less or doing nothing when that suits a client better. There are no packages, memberships or prepayments: clients pay for each visit and can stop whenever they like. Specials go to long-standing clients rather than to promotions aimed at newcomers.

A first visit starts with an in-person conversation of about an hour at no charge, with nothing to decide that day. Treatment planning begins with that conversation, and quotes are given once the skin has been looked at. Visits are by appointment only, seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm, and tea is available on request, including during first visits. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice; with less, a $100 fee applies. Any spot that does not look like sun damage is referred to a dermatologist before treatment, and every mole must be cleared by a dermatologist before removal.

Several independently run practices share the building, offering naturopathic medicine, massage therapy, life coaching and injectables by a nurse practitioner. Separately, The Peptide Connection, LLC is a company owned by the owner that is not part of North Shore Laser Center; it connects clients with licensed prescribers and pharmacies.

Facials are offered between laser and other treatments to keep skin in good condition and aim to catch problems early. A facial takes about an hour and includes cleansing, exfoliation suited to the skin, extractions where needed, a mask and collagen products, with infrared and cool steam used when skin needs calming. Facials are priced per visit, and pricing is given on inquiry. Clients are not pushed to buy products afterward. Skincare is sold through an online shop with order tracking, along with gift cards. Before laser hair removal, clients shave within a day of the visit and avoid waxing, plucking or threading for four weeks, and they should avoid tanning, self-tanner and sunburn on the treated area before and for a couple of weeks after.
