Ninette Hair Studio is a small studio on SW 8th Street in Miami, open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Hair services make up the core of the menu: haircuts, color and highlighting, smoothing treatments, styling and a hair spa range. Manicures and pedicures are also offered, by appointment on select days only. Clients can book online or by phone or text.

Sustainability is central to how the studio runs. It describes itself as a certified sustainable and carbon neutral studio and is a member of Green Circle Salon, a program that recycles beauty waste. Plastics, metals, foils, papers and chemicals are recycled rather than thrown away. Leftover color and lightener are collected and reused instead of going down the drain, and aluminum foils, color tubes and product cans are recycled too. The studio says it works with Climate Partner to offset emissions from its operations and uses eco-friendly showerheads that it says cut water and energy use by up to 65 percent.

The hair spa menu is built around two longer rituals, La Ceremonia, a 45-minute treatment starting at $75, and El Holistico, a 90-minute treatment starting at $150. Both include hand and head massage elements, and high frequency treatment, LED light therapy and a steamer step are included in El Holistico and available as options with La Ceremonia. Smaller treatments such as a deep conditioner, a clarifying scalp detox, a shine mask and a reconstructive infusion can be booked on their own or added to a hair appointment at a preferred rate.

The studio also has a membership, Bitchin' Bucks, with three monthly levels at $100, $300 and $500. Members receive 10 percent added to their account as credit that rolls over for up to 12 months and applies to any service. Outside the membership, the studio runs GRLTalk, a community for Miami women offering podcasts, events, wellness retreats and blogs, and it offers training, a two-month paid internship and a paid Shadow Day for people considering a career in beauty.
