The salon was founded by Nikki Nguyen and Lay Akhotmy after both had worked as independent stylists. They met at Jose Eber Atelier in Highland Park and began working together as a cut and color team. The aim of the salon is an elevated space that pairs high-quality service with premium products for independent stylists and their clients.

The room is described as luxurious, spacious and modern, with an open-concept layout. The main floor has 20 styling stations, each with a light hanging from the ceiling above it. A stand-alone station is set aside for consultations and scalp analysis. The salon carries Kerastase haircare products.

According to the salon, a Salon Today feature lists it among its 2020 Salons of the Year, and a January 2020 article in The Daily called it the hottest salon in Frisco.
