Nicole Kay Beauty works from two locations: a loft space at 179 89th Ave NE in Blaine and Suite 10 at 170 89th Ave NE in Minneapolis. The menu covers lashes, brows, makeup, waxing, facials, airbrush spray tans and tooth gems.

Brow services start with a semi-permanent tint for fine and light brow hairs. A wax and shaping visit includes a brow wash, shaping, styling, and trimming and tweezing as needed. Brow lamination gives hairs a temporary upward set and is paired with tint and wax.

Lash work runs from a patch test of the lash glue, which needs a 24-hour wait before the next step, to tints, lifts, and removal with a removal gel. Extension sets come in classic, classic-plus and hybrid styles. Hybrid sets place 2-6D extensions on a single natural lash. Fills after four weeks may require a full set or an added charge of $10 to $30.

Makeup comes in four levels: everyday, night out, special event and SFX or graphic. Special event makeup includes a full face, airbrush makeup and lashes if wanted. SFX and graphic work is priced by request, so clients email to discuss the look, time and cost. Facials are either a 30-minute express option built on skin care needs or a 60-minute custom facial that includes face, neck and shoulder massage and extractions. An arm massage or cooling globe eye treatment can be added for $10 each.

Waxing covers the face, nose, underarms, arms, legs, abdomen, back, chest, bikini and Brazilian areas, with prices from $10 for nose wax to $75 for a full leg. Hair needs to be about the length of a grain of rice for removal, and nostril piercings are taken out for nose waxing. Airbrush spray tans use a customized solution for a natural glow, and the business says they are a better choice for skin health than UV tanning beds. Tooth gems are applied with dental-approved adhesive for clients 18 and older, and teeth whitening is offered for clients over 16.

Treatments are tailored, with custom facials built around each client's skin care needs and spray tan solutions customized to the individual.
