Wendee founded the salon in 2006 after previously building two salons in NW Portland. The salon describes itself as a trusted community salon and has been part of Camas since it opened.
The space feels lived-in and welcoming, and clients are invited to come as they are. Work by local artists, glass blowers and ceramic artists is displayed throughout, and the salon takes no commission on the pieces shown.
The salon aims for visits that feel personal, welcoming and unhurried. Each appointment is shaped around the result the client wants. Most stylists are self-employed and work by appointment, so general hours run Monday through Saturday with doors opening at 9:00 AM, and exact times vary by stylist.
Booking is by phone at (360) 834-1818 or through individual stylists' booking links. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations may incur a fee. Prices are a general guide and can shift with hair length, thickness, condition and the time required. All Cuts are listed at $65, and Olaplex can be added to any color service for $30.
Appointments are tailored to the results each client wants, in a personal and unhurried setting.
