New Moon Skincare opened in Succasunna, New Jersey, in September 2024 and is owned by Kimberly DeFreitas. The business describes its philosophy as mindful skincare, and its services center on waxing and facials at a suite on NJ-10.

About

Waxing covers bikini work, underarms, and body areas from the arms and legs to the back, chest and stomach, along with brows and the face. Brow shaping is done with waxing or tweezing and finished with cooling aloe applied with stainless steel wands to ease redness. Brow tinting uses a color customized to each client's natural brow hair and features.

Facials run from a 30-minute mini facial with skin analysis to a 90-minute custom facial that adds LED light therapy and a foot treatment. The 60-minute Healing Glow custom facial is suited to first-time clients.

Consent and intake forms must be completed before any service. New clients pay a deposit toward facials. Package credits apply automatically at checkout, last one year, are non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers. A client who refers a friend receives a $10 credit once that friend has visited. Arriving 10 or more minutes late may lead to a rescheduled or cancelled appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged half the service total, and no-call no-shows are charged the full amount. Bikini waxing, vajacials and booty facials are for clients 18 and over. Bikini line waxing is open from age 16 and facials from age 12, with a parent or guardian signing and staying for the whole treatment.

The business describes its philosophy as mindful skincare, and several facials are built as custom treatments adjusted to the client.
