Jeanine La Macchia created New Jersey Hair Designs in 2004. Rather than having clients come to a salon, the business goes to them, so hair is styled in the client's own location, whether that is a home or another place the client chooses.

Pre-event pampering covers coloring, glazing, highlights, deep conditioning treatments and styling. Those services are priced on request. For other occasions, the business styles hair for proms, formals, communions, bar and bat mitzvahs, confirmations, anniversaries and dance recitals. Most clients book bridal party hair or events such as sweet sixteens, proms and bar mitzvahs.

Bridal hair trial pricing is $125 for the bride and $200 for a mother and daughter together. On the wedding day, the bride's styling is $200 and each bridal party member is $125. Other special occasion styling is $100 per style per person. Travel is free within Bergen County and costs $50 anywhere else in New Jersey or New York City.
