Several services begin with a consultation, including color, comb outs and starter locs. Appointments for the larger loc and style services are long: invisible locs take about three hours or more, starter locs about 3.5 hours or more, and soft locs about five hours or more. Color is priced by hair length, with one full bowl of bleach and color covering shoulder and mid-back length and two bowls for waist and butt length, and each extra bowl at $10. Loc repairs on one or two locs are free.
Booking has a few set rules. There is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals, after which a $15 late fee applies or the appointment is cancelled. Retwists are recommended every one to two months, and going longer than three months between loc retwists adds a $25 fee. A 30% fee applies to no-shows and to cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.
Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 AM to 1:30 PM, Thursday from 11 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 8 AM to 7:30 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The studio is closed Sunday and Monday.
The studio is built around natural hair and loc care, with consultations for the more involved services and scheduled retwists to keep locs maintained between visits.
