Gwen Lu owns Nails by Gwen and works as its nail tech, bringing 15 years of nail experience to each appointment. She is also building a home studio in Wylie.

The studio's aim is a cozy space where clients can relax and feel welcome.

Booking requires a $20 deposit, which is applied to the final total. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice. Arrivals up to 15 minutes late are within a grace period, and later arrivals pay a $10 late fee; clients arriving 30 or more minutes late may have their appointment canceled or rescheduled at the owner's discretion. Clients attend alone unless an arrangement is approved in advance.

For nail art, clients are asked to send inspiration photos several days before the appointment. Intricate designs, 3D work, charms, extra length and specialty finishes may carry additional charges, which are confirmed before service begins. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person and for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM, with the studio closed Sunday and Monday.
