Oceana is the owner and a stylist here, with about 20 years in the hair industry. The salon's philosophy starts from the idea that every head of hair is different, so each client is given individualized attention and services are planned around the health and integrity of the hair.

Hours run Tuesday through Friday from 9:30am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. The salon is closed on Sundays, and on Mondays it is closed except for Madam Monday appointments, which need approval and carry a $55 fee. Wednesday walk-ins are welcome when same-day space allows.

Natural-hair services include shampoo. Braidz services supply braiding hair for knotless, boho knotless and hair coverage styles and for updo ponytails. Passion twists use the client's own hair, and crochet, twist, kinky or specialty hair is not supplied. Service times and prices depend on hair length, density, condition and the style chosen, and a detangling fee of $25 to $50 may apply to severely tangled or matted hair.

A deposit secures appointments and is non-refundable for no-shows or late cancellations. Cancellations made 48 or more hours ahead are free, 24 to 48 hours ahead costs half the service fee, and under 24 hours costs the full fee. Rescheduling needs at least 24 hours' notice. Payment is accepted by cash, Zelle and major credit cards.

Every head of hair is treated as different, so each client gets individualized attention with services shaped around hair health.
