Nailcessity is a nail salon on Union Avenue in Framingham. The menu covers hands and feet, from bare-nail care to gel manicures and pedicures, structure gel work, extensions and nail art in three tiers.

The naked manicure and naked pedicure leave the nails without polish, or with clear polish, and focus on cuticle care, shaping and light buffing. The classic gel manicure adds dry cuticle care with drill bits and a single color or clear gel. The structure/builder gel manicure is a longer dry manicure that adds a soft or hard gel overlay. Gel polish on toes can be booked without a full pedicure, and the classic gel pedicure includes trimming, callus smoothing, exfoliation and lotion.

Extensions are soft gel with full-coverage tips in one solid color, and last about three to four weeks. Structure gel refills take off the existing gel structure and reinforce the natural nail. Structure refills are only offered on original sets applied by the technician. Acrylic removal and nail fixes are also available.

Nail art is booked as an add-on to a service rather than included by default, so it is not part of extensions or the classic gel manicure unless added. Tier 1 covers basic designs such as polka dots, simple line work and minimalist looks. Tier 2 covers intermediate work such as aura, chrome detailing, animal print, blooming gel and some 3D pieces. Tier 3 covers intricate designs, including 3D, layered designs, gems and hand painted art.

Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The salon is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
