The school began in 2010 as a makeup school and became a licensed beauty school in 2021, when it took its current name and expanded into esthetics, cosmetology and special FX. Its stated mission is to prepare students for careers across beauty, commercial and film work, with support that continues after graduation. The academy says it aims to offer a more thorough education than industry standards require, and it describes its standards as going beyond state requirements.
The student clinic is where the hands-on side of training happens. Students begin serving clinic customers after 100 hours in esthetics and after 350 hours in cosmetology, and senior students perform the services under instructor supervision. Current offerings include a 90-minute Custom Blend Facial for $30, a Color+ hair color service that takes about 3.5 hours and starts at $45, a 90-minute Shear Hair Cut for $17, a one-hour Clipper Haircut for $12, a 30-minute Lash Tint for $12 and a 45-minute Lash Lift for $25. The academy says it follows strict sanitation standards. A Fresha listing shows a 5.0 rating from 842 votes.
Cosmetology is offered full-time only, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Esthetics can be taken full-time on weekdays or part-time on evenings, Monday to Thursday from 5:00 to 9:30 PM. Each enrolled student is paired with a professional mentor in their esthetics or cosmetology program. The Professional Program of Nail Artistry is a 600-hour part-time course over about 34 weeks, and the full-time option is not currently offered.
Applicants submit an application after a $100 application fee, followed by a tour and an admissions interview, which can be virtual. Applicants must be at least 16, have completed ninth grade or higher, and hold a valid state ID and a social security number. Enrollment takes place five times a year and requires a deposit. The academy offers a private loan, a payment plan without a credit check and a pay-in-full option, but it does not offer financial aid. Flex plans carry flat finance fees, while paying in full before classes start avoids financing fees and can save roughly $356 to $2,070 depending on the program. Graduates must register for and pass the state theory and practical board exams, and the academy helps with that process.
The academy's training combines supervised hands-on clinic work with business, branding and content creation courses, so students graduate with both technical skills and a plan for working in the industry.
Classrooms are small and open-concept so instructors can reach students easily, and the building includes a Media Space studio with backdrops, lighting and editing equipment.
