Moxie was opened by co-founders Jessica Bowland and Shannon Wiles, who are also stylists at the salon. Jessica has worked in hair for more than twenty years, and Shannon started out as a salon receptionist while still in high school, then trained at cosmetology school and assisted salon owners before opening her own space with Jessica.

The hair menu covers root touch-ups, partial and full highlights, lived-in color and balayage, women's and men's cuts, blow-dries and styling, updos, perms, extensions and Brazilian blowouts. Prices vary by stylist, and guests can email the salon to confirm an individual price. Starting prices are $75 for a women's haircut and style, $40 for men's cuts, $100 for a root touch-up, $150 for a partial highlight, $200 for a full highlight, $200 for lived-in color or balayage, $200 for a Brazilian blowout, $200 for perms, $50 for blow-dry and styling and $65 for updo styling. Extensions are priced after a consultation.

Skincare is led by aesthetician Shelli Ruiz. Facials use Jan Marini products and are customized to each client's skin care needs. Express facials are $75, back facials $85, signature facials $100 and glycolic facials $110, with specialty add-ons at $20. Brow tinting is $30 and brow wax or shape is $25. Waxing runs from $15 for lip or chin, $25 for underarm and $40 for half arm, up to $65 for full arm, with leg and bikini waxing from $50 for a basic bikini to $130 for a full leg with bikini.

New clients fill out a new client form on the booking page so the salon can match them with a stylist that suits their needs. Services are by appointment only. Some stylists take bookings by text and others through the website.

The salon hosts color, cutting and styling classes for stylists and educators, with room for up to 40 people, and says it values growth, inclusivity and a healthy work-life balance for its team.
