About

Motherly Love was founded in the mid-1990s and describes itself as a holistic, luxury house call service. Visits take place at the client's location in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Westchester, and appointments are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening.

The practice focuses on women's health through every stage of life, from conception and pregnancy through postpartum, perimenopause and menopause. It also works with individuals, couples and families, including adolescents and young adults. The business says its practitioners are licensed and highly experienced.

Acupuncture options include conception and fertility sessions, pregnancy and postnatal sessions that combine acupuncture points with shiatsu acupressure, and labor-point sessions for full-term pregnant clients, which need permission from an OB-GYN or midwife. Glow Acupuncture blends acupuncture with massage techniques, and Glow Family is a shorter 30 to 45 minute session for adolescents or several family members. Most acupuncture and massage sessions are listed at $375.

Massage sessions run 90 minutes and include Glow Massage, focused on stress relief and muscle tension, plus labor-point and pregnancy/postnatal massage. The pregnancy massage uses a body-contoured cushion system for face-down or side-lying positions. A Couples Special offers 60 or 90 minute sessions for partners, extended family or friends at $325 or $350, booked as two or more consecutive sessions. The cosmetic acupuncture facial protocol is 10 sessions of 60 minutes each, priced at $3,750, and uses Pratima Skin Care, which the business describes as Ayurvedic, hand-crafted and free of chemicals.

Session packages are Sunshine (buy 6, get 1 free), Rainbow (buy 12, get 3 free), Butterfly (buy 24, get 8 free) and the Glow facial protocol. Packages are non-refundable, but sessions can be gifted or transferred, and a complementary personal or loaner massage table comes with purchase. Gift certificates are available for house calls in the service area, and gift purchases can be paid by Zelle, Venmo, Amex, Visa or MasterCard. Scheduling, gifts and questions go to appointments@motherlylovenyc.com. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, and same-day cancellations are charged in full.

Care is built on classical Chinese medicine, with a focus on women's health and family wellness across life stages.
