MobileTress works as a hair braiding service with two ways to book: an appointment at its salon suite at Riverside Commons Plaza in Ashburn, or a mobile visit where the stylist comes to the client's location.

About

The owner describes themselves as a hairstylist with many years of experience in traditional and modern styles. The menu is organized by technique, so clients can choose from classic box braids and cornrows, knotless versions, crochet installs, twists, sew-in and leave-in weaves, and loc work.

Pricing is listed by style. Many services start at a set price, but final cost can change with the style, size and length requested, and quotes for a specific style are available by contacting the salon before booking. Mixed hair colors add $20. Hair needs to be fully detangled before the appointment; extra detangling on arrival is charged, starting at $40. Optional professional shampooing, blow-drying and detangling can be added at booking for an additional fee, and a basic shampoo and conditioner option is available for $30.

Booking uses a deposit. Appointments must be cancelled at least 72 hours ahead to get the deposit back in full, and late cancellations forfeit it. Clients who do not call or show up can no longer schedule future appointments. Clients are asked to be respectful and patient with the braiders.

Mobile and salon appointments are both offered, with the stylist coming to the client or the client coming to the suite, and prices are quoted by style, size and length.
