MIXX Salon was founded by Alicia Sanna, who returned to California after working at a high-end all-men's salon in New York City and brought that men's salon concept back with her. The studio is designed for men in Huntington Beach who want something more than an average salon visit.

Every visit is one-to-one in a private studio space, and a complimentary beverage is offered. Haircuts are tailored to each client's personal style, face shape, hair texture, lifestyle and work, and are cut using a scissor-over-comb method, which the studio says helps a cut grow out well. The studio says it holds itself to higher standards so that clients leave looking and feeling their best.

The menu covers the whole grooming routine. Beard trims shape and straighten beard lines, with an optional version that also deep cleans and hydrates the beard. Permanent color with full grey coverage, a grey-blending option that covers about half the grey and fades in over a few weeks, and beard color are available. Scalp micropigmentation is offered for density, hairline, crown, shaved-head looks and camouflaging hair transplant scars, and a Kevin.Murphy scalp treatment is made to order.

New clients can book a free 30-minute consultation by video call or in person. Clients can reach the studio by text at 646.926.2639. Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. A booking fee is required for any scalp micropigmentation service and is non-refundable.

Haircuts are customized to each client and cut with a scissor-over-comb method. The studio aims for a higher standard of service in a private, one-to-one setting.
