The salon says it sets itself apart from other East Coast salons through an education-focused approach. It runs a competitive apprentice program and holds frequent advanced training sessions for its team. Team members also take part in extensive testing and product evaluation for the Living Proof hair care line, which Mitch co-founded. The salon describes its work as customized, and says it aims for the most current techniques in color, cutting and styling.

Services fall into three groups. Color includes additional color, glazes, single process, high/low lights on a signature piece, transitional or corrective color, and partial and full highlights. Styling covers blowouts, men's and women's cuts, upstyling, and flat iron or curls. Treatments include deep conditioning, demineralizing, and Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy. Bridal hair is priced after a consultation, and a trial service is available. Starting prices run from $20 for additional color to $500 for keratin smoothing, and several services have a separate price when done with Mitch.

Booking requires a Visa or MasterCard. Cancellations or reschedules made without enough notice are charged 100% of the booked services, unless the time can be filled. Arriving more than fifteen minutes late may mean not all booked services can be done. Smocks are provided, but the salon is not responsible for personal items damaged during a service. Free corrections are offered if a client is unhappy, when booked with the original stylist within two weeks. Cash, Visa, MasterCard and salon gift cards are accepted, and gratuities cannot be added to card or gift card payments for stylists and assistants. Children under thirteen are not accommodated inside the salon, and pets are not allowed except service animals. The salon is open Wednesday and Thursday 10 to 6, Friday 10 to 5, and Saturday 9 to 4, and is closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday. Phone is 617.951.0122.
