Misha Steidle, the owner, is a licensed nurse and licensed massage therapist who works as a skincare specialist and wellness practitioner. Earlier, she founded a Shiatsu wellness center in Kauai in 1984 and directed it for seven years, before bringing her work to Bay Area clients in 2003.

The facials use all-natural and organic ingredients, and many include personalized aromatherapy. The signature facial runs 85 minutes and combines gemstones, river rocks, organic products and custom aromatherapy. Acne treatments begin with an advanced consultation, deep pore cleansing and a home skincare plan, and they are also offered as six-visit series.

Bodywork ranges from a short head and neck session to longer treatments. Put a Zing in Your Zang blends Reiki, aromatherapy, cranial-sacral therapy and Asian and Hawaiian practices. Go with the Flow is a Japanese Shiatsu session, and Take a Time-Out combines French dry brushing, an essential oil massage and a body wrap. Feel Good Inside and Out is personalized for skin conditions, chronic pain and stress, and is meant to sit alongside regular medical care.

Walk-ins are welcome when time allows, though advance booking is recommended to avoid a wait. First-time clients reserve with a credit card, and cancellations need 24 hours' notice or the full treatment price may be charged. The spa also brings treatments to clients' homes for parties, weddings and baby showers, customized to the event, and sells gift certificates for any treatment.
