Training came from the Academy of Cosmetology of the Arts, completed in 2001. Experience since then spans styling, platform artistry and education for prominent beauty companies, including work overseas. Publications featuring the owner's work include Modern Salon, Playboy, American Salon, Beauty Launchpad and Estetica Worldwide.

The salon moved into its current space on West 6th Avenue. The owner designed the room personally with the goal of a calm, uncrowded visit. It is bright and roomy, furnished with art and floral decor.

Every service starts with a consultation that covers the client's lifestyle, how much daily styling they are willing to do, upkeep and cost, so the plan is settled before any work begins. Hair extensions are offered in I-tip, fusion, micro-fusion, tape-in and hand-tied weft styles, with pricing set at the consultation. Color is done with the ammonia-free Calura line, and wedding styling is quoted on request.

The salon has an exclusive partnership with makeup artist Lindsey Ambrosio for clients who want hair and makeup coordinated. The stated priority is the health of the client's hair and the client overall, and the salon describes its guiding idea as being kind and doing one's best.

Work is one-on-one at the chair, with the owner advising on style choices from color through the daily upkeep a look will require.
