Mirror Mirror opened in 2016 as a studio inside Sola Salons. Owner Jean Komor founded the business and works as its stylist. The space is small and quiet, set apart from the bustle of a larger salon floor.

Each appointment is one-on-one with a single stylist, and the stylist is never double-booked. Every visit begins with a complimentary consultation, and clients can also book a free 15-minute consultation at any time. Listed prices are starting points. Longer, thicker or heavily processed hair may need extra product or time, and clients are told before any additional charge is added.

Services fall into four groups: cuts and styling, color and highlights, reparative treatments, and brows and waxing. The salon describes its keratin treatment as repairing damage, smoothing frizz and adding shine, with results it says last weeks to months. First-time color and corrective work are best arranged by phone, while most other services can be booked online through Vagaro in real time.

Free parking is available along S Kirkwood Rd, on Argonne Dr, and in a free garage on East Madison.

The studio puts the health of the hair ahead of the finished look. If a service would damage the hair, the stylist says so and suggests a gentler route. Each visit opens with a talk about the client's goals, past results and what is realistic.
