Oxana Hull opened Mile High Modern Beauty in Denver in 2014 and works there as its esthetician. Before opening the studio she moved to the United States and turned to skin care and cosmetology. The studio is organized around three service groups: permanent makeup, eyelash extensions and customized skincare.

About

The studio is small and intimate, and it is designed to be quiet. Phones are silenced, and guests, including partners, friends, family, pets and children, are not allowed in the room during appointments. Bookings are made online through the Vagaro system, and the studio is open by appointment only, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 6:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 2:00. First-time clients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.

Permanent makeup begins with a required consultation priced at $40, which cannot be followed by a procedure on the same day. Work covers microblading, machine-applied powder brows, shaded and classic winged eyeliner, lash enhancement, several lip color options and camouflage of scars and areolas. Sterile needles and disposable one-time machine parts are used for each client. Because the process usually needs at least one follow-up visit, the first touch-up is scheduled about six weeks after the original appointment.

Eyelash extensions include classic one-to-one sets, partial and full sets using super fine extensions, and volume sets with 2D to 6D application. Lash extensions use faux mink and faux silk lashes made from a poly-fiber blend. Fills are recommended every two to three weeks, and a full set is needed when fewer than 40 percent of extensions remain per eye or more than a month has passed since the last visit. The customized facials include deep cleansing, steam exfoliation, a mask chosen for the client's skin and massage, with a shorter introductory option and a version designed for men.

Services are meant to enhance a client's natural features, and the studio does not offer facial sculpting, body contouring or other dramatic enhancement work.
