Mila Hidalgo Salon was founded by Rose Hidalgo, who owns and runs it. Rose has more than 25 years in the hairdressing industry, with skills built in both Brazil and the United States, and has worked with L'Oreal, O Boticario and Helena Rubinstein.

Bridal work is a major part of the salon. Services include bridal trials for hair, makeup or both, complete bridal hair and makeup packages, updos, straightening and curl styling, and full face or full glam makeup for weddings and events. Makeup can also be combined with an updo.

On the color side, the salon offers balayage and handcrafted highlights, toner, root touch-ups and color correction. Cut, color and blowdry bundles are available for clients who want several services in one visit. Hair treatments include deep conditioning and Brazilian straightening.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm, at its Broadway location in Everett. Brazilian straightening uses a keratin treatment that is stated to have a formaldehyde level of 0.2 percent.
