Michael Goude runs an independent practice in Austin, Texas, operating from Suite 102 at 1200 E 11th St, close to Downtown and just off I-35. Haircuts are booked by appointment only, on Fridays and Saturdays between 10am and 7pm. Guests come from around Austin, its suburbs and Central Texas, and a good number make the trip from San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Waco, Houston and Dallas. Street parking can be found nearby, but the building's lot is for residents only, so drivers should check posted signs.

There are three haircut options. The Short Cut / Cleanup is a 45-minute scissor and razor session for pixie cleanups and men's grooming between full cuts, priced at $95, and it is scissor and razor only with no fades or beard trims. The Signature Cut Experience is a 60-minute consultation, cut and style session at $120, tailored to texture, density and the client's daily routine. The Extended Cut / Transformation runs 1 hour 15 minutes for $140 and is meant for big changes, major restyles and thick or long hair.

Each appointment starts with a conversation about what the client likes about their hair and what is not working for them. Michael also recommends a three-step Hairstory routine for at-home care, made up of a cleansing cream, an air-dry hair balm and a salt-free texture spray. Bookings are made online through Square, and questions can go through the contact form or Instagram. Changes or cancellations are requested at least 24 hours ahead. Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged 50% of the service, and cancellations inside 12 hours or no-shows are charged the full service price.
