Method Salon Collective

The collective was set up so independent stylists can run their own work while their clients receive high-end salon services. Each stylist is an independent contractor who sets their own schedule and handles their own bookings, so clients choose the stylist they want rather than a house schedule.

Erin Carolan founded the space with the goal of a chic, intimate salon where industry professionals can serve their clients. The business describes its services as bespoke, meaning color and extension work is planned around the individual client rather than a fixed menu.

Booking is done through a stylist's Instagram account or by submitting an appointment request questionnaire on the website, and selected stylists reply within 24 business hours. Consultations are required before extension installs and custom color, and virtual consultations are available. A credit card is kept on file to hold every appointment.

The building has a small lot to the east with three regular spaces and one accessible space. When it is full, clients can park on Michigan St in front of the salon or on Houseman to the west. From the west, the College exit on I-196 is the suggested route; from the east, use the Fuller exit.

Stylists share a belief that every service is done with intention, and the collective is set up so each stylist can work independently.
