Services are performed by Meridian College students as part of their training, and cosmetology students work on actual clients in the student-run salon. The Cosmetology diploma program at the Sarasota campus covers men's and women's haircutting, styling, perm application, coloring and bleaching, facials, chemical waving, scalp treatments, shampooing, and manicure and pedicure techniques. Florida cosmetology licensing requires 1,200 hours of training, which the college provides, and the college says its cosmetology instructors have industry experience.

The menu is broad, from clipper cuts, fades and flat tops to foil highlights, lowlights, perms, relaxers, braids, weaves, nail services, facials and waxing. Prices can change with hair length, and long hair costs extra. Hours are Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Friday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Career services are available during training and continue after graduation, covering portfolios, resume writing, interview skills, grooming, networking and job searching. The college cannot guarantee employment or a minimum starting salary, and placement assistance typically starts toward the end of training, once required skills and licenses are in place. Some programs also require an off-site externship or clinical before completion.

Services are carried out by Meridian College students, who work on real clients as part of their training.
