The first Armandeus salon opened in 1984 at the Centro Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco in Caracas. The Armandeus Group was founded in Venezuela by stylists Armando Benlolo and Linda Benlolo. Armando began his beauty career at age 14 as an assistant at a salon in Paris, then trained in France, Italy and England and later studied in California. Linda trained alongside him in London and completed advanced courses in Italy in hair chemistry and colorimetry. The salon states that the couple were among the most respected hairstyling duos of their time in Venezuela, and that they styled for the Miss Venezuela pageant and worked with designer Ángel Sánchez and television productions.
