Megan J. Daum started out as a salon stylist in Santa Fe before moving into film and television hairstyling, working locally and internationally. She has been a member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 480 as a film and television hairstylist since 2007. On productions she has served as Hair Department Head and as Key Hairstylist. Her projects have taken her to New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Tennessee, Washington D.C., Hawaii, Vietnam and Australia. On set she also works as a color specialist, handling color transformations and ongoing color maintenance. Before that, she was a color educator for Alfaparf.

Her salon work centers on creative color and color correction, along with wigs, hair pieces and period styles. Her hairstyles range from classic, timeless shapes to more avant-garde designs. She also holds a New Mexico State Licensed Cosmetologist license and a Master Barber license with training in textured hair. Earlier in her career she spent six years as a Board Licensed Permanent Make-Up Technician, a role that required yearly bloodborne pathogen and infection control certifications.

Clients who want an earlier appointment can join a waitlist, and requests should name the service and the city. New clients begin by email, while existing clients can book online. Wig and extension pricing is set after a consultation, and a deposit is required for every wig or extension order. Cancellations and changes need 48 hours notice; later cancellations may be charged half the service cost, and no-shows may be charged the full fee. The business follows current New Mexico guidelines for safety, sanitation and disinfection.

Hairstyles draw on classic, timeless shapes as well as avant-garde creations, with color and cuts planned to suit the client and the occasion.
